Shaykh Dr. Ali Ahmed is a senior adjudicator at Islamic Council with over 10 years of experience in reconciliation between coupes and family arbitration. He resides and works as an Imam in Texas, USA and has spent many years travelling to various parts of the world to further his Islamic knowledge in order to better serve and help Muslims in the West. After studying for more than 10 years, he obtained a Ph.D in Islamic Judiciary, with a special focus on Arbitration and Mediation in Muslim Family Law. He has written a number of books and authored several academic papers relating to Muslim Family Law, the Islamic Judiciary system and guidance for Muslims living in the West as minorities.

Shaykh Farid Haibatan is a senior scholar-practitioner at Islamic Council with over thirty years of experience in designing and delivering transformational learning that bridges revelation, psychology, and human development. He spent a number of years at the Islamic University in Madinah where he studied the Arabic Language and religious sciences and has since spent many more years teaching the Arabic language and Islamic Studies. He is perhaps best known for his original English translator of Ḥiṣn al-Muslim (Fortification of the Muslim) and as a senior instructor with the Sabeel Development Programme where he has taught and guided many through his courses on moral, social, and emotional intelligence, resilience, and family harmony.

Shaykh Farid is also a senior adjudicator at Islamic Council and heads the Training and Professional Development department, where he leads the Adjudicator Development Programme. He has delivered numerous national and international training modules on Islamic adjudication, ethics, and case management which embeds integrity, justice, and community trust within faith-based dispute resolution. Shaykh Farid also delivers training on effective leadership, organisational culture, team dynamics, and faith-informed professional excellence which empowers individuals and teams to thrive with clarity, character, and competence.

Shaykh Dr Sajid Umar is a qualified Mufti and judge and has attained a PhD from the Higher Institute of Judiciary at Al-Imam University, KSA.

Shaykh Dr Sajid has lectured (and still does) for many organisations including Knowledge International University, New Muslim Academy, Al Kauther, Family Events, Islam21c and Sabeel, plus many more.

Shaykh Dr Sajid also has held advisory roles with many organisations including Mercy Mission World, the National Zakat Foundation, Charity Right and the National Waqf Fund. He also is a senior adviser for the Islamic Finance Advisory (IFA).
