Shaykh Farid Haibatan
Shaykh Farid Haibatan is a senior scholar-practitioner at Islamic Council with over thirty years of experience in designing and delivering transformational learning that bridges revelation, psychology, and human development. He spent a number of years at the Islamic University in Madinah where he studied the Arabic Language and religious sciences and has since spent many more years teaching the Arabic language and Islamic Studies. He is perhaps best known for his original English translator of Ḥiṣn al-Muslim (Fortification of the Muslim) and as a senior instructor with the Sabeel Development Programme where he has taught and guided many through his courses on moral, social, and emotional intelligence, resilience, and family harmony.
Shaykh Farid is also a senior adjudicator at Islamic Council and heads the Training and Professional Development department, where he leads the Adjudicator Development Programme. He has delivered numerous national and international training modules on Islamic adjudication, ethics, and case management which embeds integrity, justice, and community trust within faith-based dispute resolution. Shaykh Farid also delivers training on effective leadership, organisational culture, team dynamics, and faith-informed professional excellence which empowers individuals and teams to thrive with clarity, character, and competence.
