Shaykh Ali Hammuda
Shaykh Ali Ihsan Hammuda is a UK national of Palestinian origin. He gained bachelors and masters’ degrees in Architecture & Planning from the University of the West of England, before achieving a BA in Shari'ah from al-Azhar University in Egypt. He is currently based in Wales and is a visiting Imām at Al-Manar Centre in Cardiff, a senior researcher and lecturer for the Muslim Research & Development Foundation in London, a regular author for Islam21c.com and an adviser for the Islamic Council of Europe.
Shaykh Dr Sajid Umar
Shaykh Dr Sajid Umar is a qualified Mufti and judge and has attained a PhD from the Higher Institute of Judiciary at Al-Imam University, KSA.
Shaykh Dr Sajid has lectured (and still does) for many organisations including Knowledge International University, New Muslim Academy, Al Kauther, Family Events, Islam21c and Sabeel, plus many more. Shaykh Dr Sajid also has held advisory roles with many organisations including Mercy Mission World, the National Zakat Foundation, Charity Right and the National Waqf Fund. He also is a senior adviser for the Islamic Council Finance Advisory (ICFA).
Shaykh Dr Haitham Al-Haddad
Shaykh Dr Haitham al-Haddad is a jurist and UK based Scholar who currently serves as the Chair of the Fatwa Committee for The Islamic Council of Europe. He has studied Islamic sciences for over 20 years under the tutelage of renowned scholars. He obtained his doctorate on the jurisprudence of Muslim Minorities from SOAS. He specialises in many of the Islamic sciences and, together with his academic background, has an ocean of experience in helping people use Islamic principles as solutions for their everyday lives. He has over the course of the past decade dealt with several hundred cases
Nur Choudhury (Involved Fathers)
Nur Choudhury is a Parenting Consultant, Author, and founder of Involved Fathers. He is a father of 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls), with his second son being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Nur holds a Diploma in Child Psychology as well as Certificates in Counselling and Life Coaching.
In 2016 Nur was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, having undergone surgery and successful chemotherapy, Nur has been cancer free (in remission) since July 2017.
Prior to his cancer diagnosis, Nur had worked within the youth and community field for over 7 years, where he was the Senior Manager of a third sector organisation based in East London.
Dr Mahera Ruby (Blooming Parenting)
Dr Mahera is a certified coach and coaches professionals, young people, parents and individuals who are seeking to make change, personally develop, grow and maximize their strengths, reach their potential and achieve results. She is keen to develop strong connected families, community leaders and vibrant community organisations.
Dr Mahera, along with the Blooming Parenting Team, designs and delivers bespoke parenting courses and workshops to nurture individuals and families to blossom into the gifts that they are.
Dr Mahera completed her PhD in 2015, focusing on intergenerational learning in three-generation families whose origins are in Bangladesh. She has a BSc in Chemistry, a PGCE, and an MEd in Education. She has held research and teaching posts at University College London, Institute of Education, Goldsmiths, University of London and University of West London.
